Day 3 / 6: UI, Interactions, Level Building

Got a lot done today, mainly programming. NPC's are now modular (gender, different random bodyparts, anims), added UI, usable items, interactable props, cool level design things (light ropes, roof terrace).

Next step is to make dialogue systems for NPC's, maybe something akin to quests, hacking things and inventories. That's when we'll need some architectural desicisions too, if we want to have some sort of save/load system. Sounds like a lot for a jam game, but who knows, maybe this is just a prologue for a longer game?

About hacking.

I'm not quite sure if i want to make a minigame out of it, or would it be something simpler - let's not forget we have a time constraint here. Maybe something simple enough should be good. I had an idea, that there could be collectibles in the game, that could be used in the hacking so that's how you'd progress through the game by collecting these items. (Microchips for hacking purposes maybe? Maybe some sort of cyberpunk bio-enhancers.. can't say yet)

Anyways. I've been having a really strange sleeping cycle in the past few days and it seems i am writing a daily journal in the point, when i am tired enough to not concentrate and the posts always kinda calls the day done.
